a romantic bridgerton-inspired shoot at 550 studios

This Bridgerton-inspired shoot at 550 Studios in Toronto was a scene out of a movie. I knew I wanted to style a shoot that drew inspiration from the pastel colours of the show, all while incorporating a modern twist. My goal was to reflect the dawn of spring matched with the luxurious look of @550studios_to. The soft glow of the studio was the perfect choice for this regal concept. Each element from was carefully chosen — from the gorgeous white, cream and pink blooms by @zoeyleungkk to the elegant tableware and fine china from @roselle_and_co, each element brought a truly romantic feel to the vision. We also had @loveinbloomcakes, a fine-art cake artist based in the GTA who, provided the three stunning buttercream cakes. Each cake was a masterpiece with floral designs to match the chosen motif. We also had picnic design and styling by @picnicsinthe6ix, which added so much depth and charm to the experience.

When it came to styling, we had our models, David and Sara dressed by @gotstylemen and @sashandbustle. David's grey suit from @gotstylemen added a grounding modern element to the shoot while Sara’s gown from @sashandbustle had the perfect amount of flair with its puffed sleeves and accent detailing. To complete Sara’s look, we had the talented @glambyparis on makeup with  her signature soft-glam, while  @styledbyshadi  created a beautiful bridal updo.

I was lucky enough to also work with @sollefilms who captured the true essence of the theme and the natural connection between David and Sara. And of course, I have to thank my friends @alyssakayevents & @ecgweddingevents, who helped execute my ideas to life. Alyssa and Ethan were instrumental in helping to put all of this beauty together and created a memorable shoot which I will never forget.

There’s something so beautiful about styling and photographing my own shoots. It’s so much fun diving in and being there for the full process. This means that I can be as creative as I wish to be and truly explore different posing styles and get a chance to be playful with light. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
